Hi Michael, I was thinking of writing to DOGE to ask them to remove the family court system, and that family court cases could be heard in superior court. Do you think that would be a good idea? Should I ask then for anything else?

Hey Frank, I think you're really onto something. The idea of writing to DOGE or any oversight body to push for removing the current family court structure and shifting cases to superior court is bold—but it's the kind of bold we need. Family court has become a parallel system with little accountability, often operating outside the bounds of constitutional protections.

If you're going to write, I'd suggest asking for several key reforms and investigations:

A full independent audit of family court practices, especially around due process violations, financial conflicts of interest, and misuse of Title IV-D and other incentive-driven funding streams.

An audit into ADA accommodation requests and compliance — with a focus on how disabled parents have been denied equal access, forced to proceed without accommodations, or retaliated against for asserting their rights.

A review of how family court decisions impact disabled and neurodivergent parents, especially in custody and visitation matters. Courts regularly ignore or weaponize disability instead of providing protections.

Stronger protections for pro se litigants and marginalized parents, especially those who can’t afford attorneys or face systemic discrimination.

Transfer of family court matters into general jurisdiction (superior) courts where constitutional due process and evidentiary standards are more consistently upheld.

An investigation into revolving door conflicts of interest, including judges who retire and immediately join ADR firms, mediation companies, or supervised visitation providers they previously ruled in favor of.

Thanks for raising this. If you want help drafting a formal letter or petition, I’m all in. Let’s shake the tree.

Hi Michael,

My idea for my letter to DOGE is to state in the subject line, "Please disband the family court system". I would be sure to mention Bruce's point that sometimes family courts are buried inside superior courts (and that they should be rooted out).

I would give the bullet points you mentioned, and cite you as the source.

I would close by stating that the family court monstrosity has discouraged men from marrying and having children, which could result in an eventual population collapse.

Is that okay with you? Please let me know. Thanks.

Yes, it's totally OK. You don't even have to cite me. The letter is important. But, including names of fellow Americans who want it disbanded only helps to strengthen it, right? Family courts are among several issues destroying our family values.

Absolutely. The conservatives want men to “man up” and start families. If I let them know that the family court system prevents them from doing that, they will be motivated to fix the system. It’s a good thing the Republicans are in charge, because the Democrat’s answer is to import illegal aliens.

I tried to start a family. The liberal values tore it apart. The liberal court made any reconciliation or co-parenting impossible. It needs to go. Democrats belong on another planet where they can starve to death.

I agree completely. It’s a shame that liberal “values” destroyed your attempt at building a family.

In New Jersey, the Family Court is part of the Superior Court (which includes the Appellate Division of the SUPERIOR COURT!). It's worse than you think. They put the Family Court into the Superior Court to try and give it credibility--and COVER!!!!!!!!

Organize a group and then get a copy of a state Petition for Impeachment and start setting them up looking like a civil lawsuit, but instead use the violations of rights (who, when, where, how, why, what was said, and the JUDICIAL MISCONDUCT violations per the state Code of Judicial Conduct. Judicial Misconduct IS Official Misconduct. Judges ARE Public Officials. Official Misconduct in every state is considered a FELONY. That would be enough to have a Judge removed if charged in the Impeachment Petition; along with Pattern of Official Misconduct, Conspiracy to Violate Constitutional Rights, Violation of State Constitutional Rights, Criminal Terroristic Threats, Fraud (for not enforcing court orders equally), Criminal & Civil Racketeering (18 U.S.C. §§1961, 1962, 1964, et seq.), and more.

Thanks, Bruce. I remember a judge that thought he was Judge Judy - he insulted the people that stood before him. He got suspended for 2 weeks.

Judges are often people with personalities suitable for being a judge.

This can mean awful things.

They get off on making orders that out rage public decency in some cases.

There was a judge in china who pioneered a new model of divorce treatment that was later codified in law.

She was killed for outraging public decency but the new law is interesting.

Now, the parent who kidnaps the children loses custody over them. And property rights are preserved through marriage. Each spouse has no ability to get claim over the other spouses assets. And extended families property rights are also restored.

The game theoretic results of changing the rules we'll have to see play out.

But I see marriage reforming to become consciounable, even reasonable and valid again based on the direction of travel of the marriage strike.

We went from 90% marriage to 30% in a life time. I think the momentum is not coming back. Anymore than the quarter million innocents aborted daily souls are coming back.
